Team True Gravity emerged triumphant at the Pokemon UNITE India Open 2023, securing a convincing 2-0 victory over Forge Your Legacy in the Grand Finals. Displaying dominance throughout the Upper Bracket, they toppled formidable opponents such as Revenant Esports and Team Griffin, ultimately earning the title of Indian champions.
Concluded on November 18, 2023, at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium in Delhi, the tournament drew a multitude of enthusiastic Pokemon UNITE fans eager to witness their favorite eSports teams compete for the prestigious trophy. Team True Gravity exhibited a commanding performance, particularly in the Grand Final against Forge Your Legacy.
Hayrambh “Mereum” Rajesh Monga of Team True Gravity reflected on their exhilarating journey, acknowledging the immense effort invested in their success. Despite the victory, they remain focused, cognizant of the forthcoming challenge in the Asia Champions League, where they’ll vie against international teams, diligently preparing for the task ahead.
The substantial Rs. 10 Lakh Prize Pool will be distributed among the top four teams, with Team True Gravity claiming Rs. 4 Lakhs for securing the first position, followed by Forge Your Legacy receiving Rs. 2.75 Lakhs for securing second place. Team Griffin and FS Esports secured third and fourth place, respectively, earning Rs. 1.75 Lakhs and Rs. 1 Lakh. These teams will advance to the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League India Playoffs, striving to represent the country at an international offline event.
