BGMI Unveils 2.9 Update Featuring Bollywood Star Ranveer Singh as Playable Avatar

Krafton India, the creator behind Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has revealed a significant update that stars Bollywood actor and brand ambassador Ranveer Singh as a playable character within the game. This 2.9 Update presents BGMI players with the opportunity to step into the virtual realm embodying the persona of Singh.

The update showcases several features inspired by Ranveer Singh’s style and personality. Among these are the RS discovery event, a dedicated Ranveer Singh crate, and a Play and Win event, offering players the chance to unlock rewards encapsulating the essence of the popular star. This includes the availability of two distinct 3D avatars: RS Dark Stealth and RS Swaggy Baba, both featuring Ranveer Singh.

This collaboration also brings exclusive emotes inspired by the actor’s iconic dance moves and a unique voice pack, alongside several other updates. Players can access the RS crate by utilizing in-game currency (UC) to draw various rewards.

Krafton India Introduces New BGMI Update with Ranveer Singh Integration

The RS Discovery event operates on a point system accumulated through Classic mode matches, spanning across 50 stages. Participants stand to earn rewards such as ornaments, space gifts, and parachutes. This event is active from December 1 to January 25.

Another featured event, Play and Win, allows players to fulfill tasks, collect RS tokens, and exchange them for permanent rewards available at the “Play pure with Ranveer Singh” Exchange Centre. Rewards encompass the Lion Champion Set, Lion Champion Headgear, Thorned Rose - Crowbar, Neon Kiss Ornament, Classic Crate Coupon, and Supply Crate Coupon.

Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, expressed excitement about the update, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh to the BGMI BATTLEGROUNDS, offering players an immersive experience like never before.” This collaboration emphasizes their commitment to localizing content for the Indian audience, resonating culturally with their diverse player base.

The 2.9 Update also introduces Snowy Village, Frost Festival, and Festive Map Decorations. Snowy Village features high-speed Snow Rails, rideable reindeers, Snowball Blasters, and a two-story Ice Sculpture Plaza. The Frost Festival, spanning from December 1, 2023, to January 24, 2024, offers unique engagements, treats, snowboards, and festive map decorations.

Furthermore, the update brings forth the next Royale Pass Ace, themed sets, and a collaboration with Pagani, introducing two exclusive car models with distinctive color schemes.
