Netflix has exciting news for its subscribers—a partnership with Rockstar Games that brings three iconic titles from the Grand Theft Auto series to smartphones and tablets. Starting December 14, Netflix subscribers can delve into the world of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas directly from their Android and iOS devices, completely free of charge.
Interested users can pre-register for these games on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, beginning today. However, compatibility varies among Android devices. While pre-registration is available for phones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, it's not accessible on others such as the Infinix GT 10 Pro.
All three titles—GTA III – Netflix (1.7 GB), GTA: San Andreas – Netflix (2.9 GB), and GTA: Vice City – Netflix (2.8 GB)—have been released by Netflix on both the Play Store and App Store. For iOS devices, playing requires an A12 Bionic chip or newer with iOS 16/iPadOS 16. However, the Android compatibility list remains undisclosed.
Previously released as Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PCs and consoles in November 2021, these games sold for Rs3,299 on the PC. Now, Netflix subscribers have the exclusive privilege to enjoy these iconic titles at no cost, just as the hype for GTA 6 builds up. Rockstar Games recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, teasing the imminent launch of GTA 6 with the promise of its first trailer coming soon.
