Esports Premier League signs Indian film star Tiger Shroff as the face of the first-ever franchise-based Esports League. Tiger Shroff has become one of the first-ever personalities from Bollywood to tie up with Indian Esports. ESPL is a nationwide Free Fire tournament that follows a league format. The number of teams are representing various Indian cities and they will be competing against each other for a mega prize pool of INR 2,5,00,000. However, Group A event registration is closed but interested participants can compete in the subsequent groups. As the registration for group B are going live now until 24 June, 2021. The final eight teams will be representing eight Indian cities later this year.

Sneak peak at Esports Premier League (ESPL) :-

The ESPL 2021 will feature a total number of 88 teams who will further qualify via 4 groups. Ahead the teams will be joining by 8 invited teams in the next stage where they will defeat it out for a spot in the league stages. The final 8 teams will be representing the following Indian cities:

  • Mumbai
  • Chennai
  • Bengaluru
  • Delhi
  • Punjab
  • Kolkata
  • Hyderabad
  • Rajasthan

The final 8 teams will compete with each other for a prize pool of INR 1,200,000 as the winners will take it all. As we know, the total prize pool of the event is INR 2,500,000 which will further be distributed among the top eight teams at the event as well as the most valuable player and fan favourite players at ESPL 2021. Grand Finals for this tournament is scheduled at 29 August, 2021.

What is ESPL ?

ESPL 2021 will come with over 700 online matches & more than 300 hours of gaming content. The teams will take over each other to represent 8 cities across the nation.

ESPL fans and interested players can watch the live streams for the matches in six different languages – Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali. Broadcasting of the live streams will be available on the YouTube and Facebook channels of India Today Gaming besides with India Today and AajTak. Also, there is a collaboration between India Today Gaming and Hotstar to stream ESPL all across the country.
