The recently concluded Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI Grand Finals witnessed fierce competition among top teams like Blind Esports, Revenant Esports, and OR Esports. Team Soul, with a promising start on the first day, showcased their potential to clinch the title but faced challenges on Day 2, ultimately securing the fourth position on the overall points table.
In a recent vlog, S8UL Siddhant “Sid” Joshi shared his thoughts on Team Soul’s performance, stating, “After BGIS 2023, this was still a respectable performance, but we could have done better.” Sid acknowledged missed opportunities, mentioning, “We should have capitalized in games where Blind Esports was eliminated early but were not able to do so.”
Sid addressed fans' suggestions to secure the second spot when Blind Esports had a significant lead, stating, “My thought process is never like that, and I always aim for the number one spot. For me, there is no difference between the second and fifteenth placed teams.” He emphasized the team's relentless pursuit of the top spot, regardless of the points difference.
Despite having a shot at the title on the last day, Team Soul couldn't capitalize on Blind Esports' early eliminations in the final matches. The team faced challenges in grabbing the opportunities that could have propelled them to the championship.
Team Soul has swiftly transitioned to the Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023 Finals LAN event, showcasing dominance on Day 1. With high hopes from fans, the team aims to maintain its momentum and secure victory on Day 2.
