GTA 6 PC Launch in Doubt: Unraveling the Latest Revelations

Rockstar Games finally released the long-awaited trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, sparking a viral storm across social media platforms. The official YouTube upload surpassed 50 million views within a mere 10 hours. However, the unveiling occurred earlier than planned due to a leak on X, leading to an unexpected course correction.

The trailer confirmed numerous speculations and leaks circulating about GTA 6. These revelations include the introduction of Lucia, the series' first female protagonist, alongside the anticipated Vice City setting and the scheduled 2025 release date.

Following the trailer's launch, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games' parent company, announced the game's arrival on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. Despite this, there was a glaring omission regarding any indication of a PC release, leaving PC gaming enthusiasts disheartened.

Speculation Over PC Release: Delay Tactics or Change in Strategy?

Rockstar Games has yet to officially declare the PC fate of GTA 6. Nevertheless, the delay in PC releases by Take-Two has been observed in previous game launches, with notable instances like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 arriving on PC after a significant delay. Hope lingers for PC gamers, considering there's ample time until the slated 2025 release for Rockstar Games to reconsider its stance.

Previous statements by Take-Two Interactive projected an $8 billion net booking revenue from GTA 6 by 2025, as reported by Bloomberg. The Grand Theft Auto series, spanning from its inception in 1997, has sold over 400 million units to date, with the previous edition launched back in 2013. The extensive gap between GTA 5 and GTA 6 has intensified anticipation among the dedicated fanbase, eagerly awaiting a glimpse into the upcoming game.
