VALORANT esports is about to reach new heights as the VALORANT Champions Tour presents its next chapter with LOCK//IN! From February 13th to March 4th, 32 of the best teams from across the world will gather in São Paulo for three weeks of intense competition.
The participating teams include representatives from the Americas, Pacific, EMEA leagues, and two invited teams from China. The winning team will earn their region an extra slot at Masters 2023, making this tournament the biggest and most important VALORANT event of all time.
The teams participating in LOCK//IN are:
VCT Americas: 100 Thieves, Cloud 9, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, KRÜ Esports, Leviatán, Loud, MiBr, NRG, Sentinels.
VCT Pacific: DetonatioN FocusMe, DRX, Gen.G, Global Esports, Paper Rex, Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), T1, Talon Esports, Team Secret, ZETA Division.
VCT EMEA: BBL Esports, Fnatic, FUT Esports, Giants, Karmine Corp, Koi, Navi, Team Heretics, Team Liquid, Team Vitality.
Invited Teams from China: EDG, FPX.
To make LOCK//IN the largest tournament in VALORANT history, the format was changed to a single elimination instead of the usual double elimination. The tournament was designed to bring the entire VALORANT community together and lay the storytelling groundwork for the 2023 season while thrilling fans with high stakes competition.
The tournament will consist of three stages of competition, Alpha Matches, Omega Matches, and Finals Stage, each with its own schedule. Alpha Matches will run from February 13th to 19th and will be Best-of-Three. Omega Matches will take place from February 22nd to 27th and will also be Best-of-Three. The Finals Stage will feature the remaining four teams and will be Best-of-Five.
The tournament will be broadcast in multiple languages and fans can find the full list of channels soon. Information on Drops, Watch Parties, and language-specific channels will also be shared in the coming weeks.
